»Nürnberg« ist der Titel eines der großformatigen Bilder der Werkreihe »Orte«, die Ben Willikens 1996/97 in seinem Stuttgarter Atelier schuf. Es zeigt ein rechteckiges, den Blick lediglich ins Schwarze freigebendes Portal: Eine kahle, in Grau-Weiß-Tönen gehaltene Architektur ohne jeden Schlagschatten, die dennoch jene Stadt der Reichsparteitage, der Wagner-Inszenierungen, der Nürnberger Gesetze zum »Schutz des deutschen Blutes« evoziert. Architektur und Innenräume sind von Beginn an das Motiv von Ben Willikens gewesen. Den vor biografischem Hintergrund entstandenen Anstaltsbildern der siebziger Jahre folgten die Renaissance- Architekturen der achtziger Jahre. »Orte«, Willikens' jüngstes Projekt, thematisiert die nationalsozialistischen Staatsbauten in Nürnberg, München und Berlin, die Architekturen eines Paul Ludwig Troost und Albert Speer, die Ben Willikens - gereinigt von faschistischen, »fanfarensüchtigen« (Dieter Bartetzko) Emblemen - als stille Topografien eines anderen Gedächtnisses reproduziert. Zum Künstler: Ben Willikens *1939 in Leipzig. 1962-1967 Studium der Malerei an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart bei Heinz Trökes. 1970 Villa-Romana-Preis, Florenz. 1972 Villa-Massimo- Preis, Rom. 1991 Lehrstuhl für Malerei und Grafik an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München. Decent value for the money.

Was easy to assemble. Instructions were clear. Tools were supplied. It really needs to be assembled wherever you're going to be putting it as it can come apart easily when moved. The cross bars simply fit into open ended plastic 90 degree female ends. Overall for the money and to just have some division in a room it's a good value.

Garbage

This product is absolute garbage! It literally took all day to put it together and if the air conditioning blows on it the wrong way than the whole thing top over and it falls apart.
It’s not made of quality material and is very flimsy. The only reason I’m not returning it is because it’s too difficult to put together and I don’t wanna spend that much time trying to take it apart. Do not buy this!

Really adorable & functional room divider! I love mine!

Really beautiful divider. I use it out on my patio at my apartment building to provide privacy, shade & keep my things safe. At 6 foot tall and 4 panels (I strongly suggest 4 panels) it's quite a lovely addition to my home. It's delicate so handle carefully but it comes completely put together & just set it up. Being able to move it inside or outside or wherever because it's so light makes it very mobile. It's not too opaque you can see through it but if it's for total privacy use a tablecloth or something behind it to make it less see through. It's strong and big and I had a question for their cs and they responded immediately and handled it right away which is a sign of a good company. It's light so make sure you secure it if it's windy for stability.
